# MIX VEGETABLE PARATHAS #
Normally, kids are
reluctant to have vegetables in their diet. However, I have found out a way to
make them eat the same with own sweet will. This worked very well at my home. Try
at yours’.
Ingredients:
·
Water if needed
·
1 bowl grated cabbage
·
1 bowl grated Carrot
·
½ bowl grated Onion
·
½ bowl chopped coriander
·
1 tsp Red chili powder
·
½ tsp Turmeric powder
·
A pinch of asafoetida
·
3 tsp Sesame Seeds
·
2 tsp coriander powder
·
Salt as per taste
·
Oil /Ghee
Method:
1) In a mixing bowl, add grated cabbage, carrot, onion, chopped coriander, red chili powder ,turmeric powder, a pinch of a asafoetida, sesame Seeds, coriander powder. Mix it well with your finger tips. Soon the vegetables would leave moisture. Normally, this moisture is sufficient enough to knead the dough.
2) Add wheat flour/aata & salt as per taste to the mixture & knead soft & smooth dough. Use some water, if required. Drizzle 1 tsp oil on the dough & knead it again.
3) Divide the dough into equal portion and make a medium sized ball. Dust some flour on the ball. Roll into medium sized round rotis.
4) Place the rolled paratha on a greased hot tava / griddle.
5) When one side of paratha is partly cooked, flip it. When the paratha is roasted & cooked well on both the sides, remove the paratha.
6) Serve it with butter, tomato ketchup, Chutney, Curd, Pickle, etc. as per your choice.
